Guess what? I turned thirty yesterday! I spent three very busy days celebrating. As a result, this post will be a photo-barf.
Saturday: BBQ at my brother and sister-in-law's place.
Sunday: Puyallup to visit the Mother Earth News fair (I saw an electric VW Karmann Ghia- my dad would have loved it!!). And had a delicious tea celebration in Seattle.
Monday: Jumped on a boat plane and flew to Victoria, B.C., waved at my birthplace and hometown as we flew by. I rode in the cockpit.
Visited the Butchart Gardens.
Champagne before lunch?? Why not, it's my birthday!
And we flew back home.
I have videos and real pictures but I am exhausted and can't be bothered to deal with uploading such things at the moment. Hope everyone had a fantastic time with the beautiful weather we had over the weekend!
Happy unBirthday! Sounds like the perfect weekend! I too was at the Mother Earth Fair Sunday. Great huh? Sorry I missed Joel Salatin Saturday though. Ran into some local gardeners I know. Pretty fun! And a sea plane ride! What fun!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a great time without Hawaii!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sinfonian! It was pretty great. I tend to dread birthdays but with the way we crammed in so much, I didn't really have time to fret about it. Glad you had a chance to go to the fair as well!
ReplyDeleteIndeed, M! Maui should still be around by the time we get done with the house and are ready for a vacation. Besides, 30 is epic enough to be worth celebrating twice. :)
