Just had to share: I've reserved chicks! They'll hatch mid to late January, depending upon when the eggs start in the incubator. I'm getting one black copper maran and two olive eggers (black copper maran and americauna mix-- produces dark olive-colored eggs!). I currently have a black copper maran, and she lays wonderfully, so I was looking to find another. Dang, they aren't cheap though for full-blooded BCMs! But, the one I have now lays so steadily and such HUGE eggs that I know it will all be worth it. Exciting!
And before you know it they're ready to fly.
